LINDA FRIEDMAN

Mrs. Friedman grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. She graduated in 1976 from Oakland University with degrees in Psychology and English Literature. Mrs. Friedman then lived and worked in Lansing, Michigan as the Executive Director for a non-profit agency and served as an advocate in the Michigan State Legislature.
Linda and her husband Dan moved to California in 1979 and opened several retail stores that they operated until 1988. Mrs. Friedman has been a long time volunteer in the Encinitas Union and San Dieguito school districts. She has served on the District Strategic Planning Team for five years and has served on the San Dieguito Academy Foundation Board as well as the Chairperson of the Academy’s School Site Council. Mrs. Friedman was also a member of the New High School Task Force, which developed a conceptual plan for the new high school being built in Carmel Valley.
Mrs. Friedman and her husband, Dan, live in Encinitas and are the parents of three sons; one of whom graduated from the San Dieguito Academy and currently attends UC Berkeley. Her two other sons are

part-time for a non-profit agency.
