Credential Information

Credential documents are no longer mailed to you by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. You are notified by e-mail when your document is issued and you can print a copy for your records by connecting to the Commission's website at www.ctc.ca.gov . When you receive notification, forward the information to Cristina Gamiño in Certificated Personnel so your personnel file can be updated.

Credential Renewals

Clear Credentials

Clear credentials can only be renewed online. To renew your document online, connect to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov. Once you completed the process online, print the confirmation of payment page for your records.

Preliminary Credentials

If you are renewing a "Preliminary" Credential, you must complete requirements listed on your document. You need to provide the following to Certificated Personnel:

  • Any renewal requirements (refer to the front of your credential).
  • Completed credential application.
  • Completed temporary county certificate.
  • Money order or Cashier's check for $55.00 payable to "California Commission on Teacher Credentialing" or "CCTC". If you are renewing more than one credential, a fee is required for each document.
