SDUHSD / SDFA Negotiations Update #2- January 15, 2025
The District and SDFA met on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. The tone was positive and collaborative. The first part of the meeting focused on a budget update from the December 2024 First Interim Report. We also reviewed the Governor’s January budget proposal for 2025-2026.
We continued to review contract language and the following articles were discussed:
- Article 2 - Working Hours
- Article 4 - Leave Policies
- Article 6 - Staffing Formula/Allocations
- Article 7 - Evaluation Procedure
- Article 8 - Grievance Procedure
To date, we’ve reached tentative agreements on the following Articles:
- Article 1 - Recognition: Clarification of the listed job titles. No financial impact
- Article 3 - Safety Conditions of Employment: Minor correction of language. No financial impact
Our next negotiation sessions are scheduled for February 12 and March 20.
SDUHSD / SDFA Negotiation Update #1– December 12, 2024
The District and SDFA met on Thursday, December 12, 2024. The tone was positive and collaborative. The first part of the meeting focused on reviewing the concept of being a community-funded district, including its advantages and challenges. We also reviewed the 2024-2025 adopted budget. As this is a successor contract year, all articles are open for negotiation. During Thursday’s session, we initiated preliminary discussions on the following topics:

Article 1 - Recognition: We reached a tentative agreement clarifying the listed job titles.

Additionally, we agreed to form committees to further explore:

We scheduled our next negotiation sessions for January 15 and February 12.
