SDUHSD / CSEA Chapter #241 Update #4 – April 9, 2025
On April 9, 2025, the District and CSEA met for their third negotiation day. A tentative agreement was reached on Article 6 (Hours of Employment). Previous agreements include
Articles 1, 10, 12, 14, 28, and Appendix A.
The following articles remain under negotiation:
Articles 3, 7, 11, 15, 22, Appendix C, and Appendix D remain under negotiation.
The next meeting is scheduled for April 24, 2025.
SDUHSD / CSEA Chapter #241 Update #3 – March 19, 2025
On March 19, we met with CSEA for our second full day of negotiations. The discussions were positive, and the work was productive. The District presented its first proposal as a counter to CSEA’s initial proposal.CSEA and the District reached a tentative agreement on the following articles:
Article 1: Agreement, Article 10: Effects of Layoff, Article 12: Fringe Benefits, Article 14: Personal Property, Article 28: Completion of Meet & Negotiation, Appendix A: Classified Range/Positions
The following articles remain under negotiation:
Article 3: Representative Rights, Article 6: Hours of Employment, Article 7: Transfer, Article 11: Wages, Article 15: Vacation,Article 22: Grievance Procedure, Appendix C: Salary Placement Longevity Benefits, Appendix D:Extra-Curricular Schedule
Our next negotiation meeting is scheduled for April 9.
SDUHSD / CSEA Chapter #241 Update #2 – February 26, 2025
We had our second negotiation meeting on Wednesday (2/26) with CSEA. The tone was positive and collaborative. CSEA proposed updates to Articles 3, 7, 11, 12, 14, 17, and 22. These updates included additional paid leave for the CSEA President, additional rights for internal candidates to vacancies, a 5.5% salary increase for the 2024-2025 school year, and an increase in the Safety Gear reimbursement for classified employees from $150 to $200 per school year.
Our next negotiation meeting is scheduled for March 19th.
SDUHSD / CSEA Chapter #241 Update #1 – January 29, 2025
We had our first negotiation meeting today with CSEA. The tone was positive and collaborative. The parties reviewed their initial proposals presented to the public at the December 2024 board meeting. In addition, the district reviewed the concept of being a community-funded district, including its advantages and challenges. We also reviewed the 2024-2025 budget adoption and first interim, providing CSEA with a clearer understanding of the district's financial status.
Our next negotiation meeting is scheduled for February 26.
