Rimga Viskanta
Rimga Viskanta holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, with an emphasis in public sector accounting and financial management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia. She has also completed the Masters in Governance program through the California School Boards Association (CSBA).
Rimga was elected to the Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) Board in 2016, serving until 2020. During her final year on the Board, she served as Board President, navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to her election to the EUSD Board, she was PTA President at Ocean Knoll Elementary and served on the San Dieguito Union High School District’s Prop AA Oversight Committee. Her youngest son is currently in 9th grade, and her older two children graduated from San Dieguito Academy in 2021 and 2022.

Her professional experience includes roles as a Senior Management Analyst for the City of Solana Beach, where she worked on environmental sustainability, special projects, and financial operations. She has also worked as a management consultant for KPMG Consulting, helping government clients improve operational efficiency, and as an accounting manager for a real estate investment and management business.
